Welcome to Accession: Homeward!

I am so excited to announce that Accession: Homeward, a second season to this critically acclaimed art history podcast, will launch on January 16th. This season chronicles my road trip across America, and uses art and travel as a lens to understand how where we live defines who we are. While the breadth of art and tone of season one will not change, season two will focus exclusively on the theme of home. Each full length episode will examine a piece of art from one of the many museum I visited on the road trip, that presents it’s viewer with narratives of home, identity, and expression. As established in season one, the methods of art analysis will include biography, history, reception, and aesthetics, as well as audio fiction and poetry, but we also have a few new tricks up our sleeve as well.

This road trip was a truly once and a life time experience, and it has changed me in some truly profound ways. I’m hoping I can capture a little bit of that profundity in words and sounds this season and share it with you. Thank you for coming along for the ride. Welcome to Accession: Homeward.
