The first in our series from 1943, this episode looks at the classic image of the American Thanksgiving, that has been reinterpreted and reimagined time and time again. Only this time, we dig into precisely why this is such a replicable image, and what it has to share with us today.
In this episode, we are looking at the most iconic work in American Art. But we are going to take it out of its larger cultural context to focus on the context of when it was first created. We're going back to January of 1942, exactly one month after Pearl Harbor.
